dream veils

{peter langner for kleinfeld}

so what do you think about veils? i know they are often viewed as old fashioned and antiquated, but veils have long been a bridal tradition and have made quite the resurgence in runway shows for the 2009 season. pleats, tiered ruffles, and applique flowers are not only trends on a bridal gown but are showing up on veils as well.

whether or not the veil has specific traditional or religious significance, it is a bridal accessory that can really define the look of a bride. check out these gorgeous and unique veils--the one above is just gorgeous!! of course, a veil must be properly chosen to fit not only fit the gown, but the overall tone, feel, and tradition of the wedding itself. just because you have fallen in love with a cathedral length, swarovski crystal floral veil, it doesn't mean it goes with your mid-afternoon garden wedding :)
